Navigated to Dental Hygiene Program Following Dismissal.

Students dismissed from the Dental Hygiene program for academic or conduct-related reasons may be eligible for reentry if approved through the applicable WCU academic dismissal or conduct appeals process. Reentry, if approved, is contingent upon seat availability within the program and class scheduling restrictions. Courses are sequential and one or more terms may pass before courses needed are available.

To preserve knowledge required for professional licensure after graduation, reentry students are required to repeat one or more previously completed clinical courses and may be required to repeat corresponding didactic course(s) while awaiting course availability, as not all courses are offered each term. When repeating these courses upon reentry, students must adhere to all current attendance, grading, and academic standards applicable to enrolled students. Billing details regarding repeating previously passed courses as a condition of reentry can be found on the Tuition and Fees page.

A student who is dismissed from the Dental Hygiene program a second time is not eligible to appeal the dismissal and is not eligible for readmission to the program.
